The Crossville High School Band is under the direction of Ron Bearden.  Mr. Bearden is in his twenty-second year as Band Director at Crossville.  This year the band will be performing musical selections from broadway musicals including:  “On Broadway” and “Kansas City” from the broadway musical “Smokey Joe’s Cafe”, “John Henry” from the musical “Ragtime”, and “I Dreamed a Dream” from the musical “Les Miserables.” 

The Crossville Band held their annual band camp from July 19-July 30, 1999.  Band camp instructors this year were:  Lana Smith, flag
instructor and faculty member at Crossville High School, Michael Leeth, drum line instructor  and percussionist  at Jacksonville State University, Nancy Gilbreath, woodwind instructor and saxophone player at Auburn University, Marsha Gilbreath, brass instructor and baritone player at Carson Newman College.  All of the instructors are former Crossville High School band members.

The Crossville Band is planning to participate in the DeKalb County Marching Festival, the Lake Guntersville Marching Festival, and the Pell City Marching Festival.
