A new 4H club is starting in Dekalb County. It’s the Junior Master Gardener Club. Our next meeting will be May 6th at 5:30 at the Collinsville Library. This club is for 9-19 year olds who enjoy gardening and learning more about their environment. For more information contact Mary Massingill at 659-2162.
My name is Malinda Wood and I am a 3rd degree black belt in taekwondo.  I am also a certified instructor.  I am opening a taekwondo school on May 5th. Classes will be on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.  The class times are 6:15 - 7:00 for children and 7:15 - 8:15 for adults.  We offer a free private lesson for children and adults that are interested in joining.  To schedule a private lesson, please contact me at (256) 523-8702.

The Alabama Public Library Service has purchased a statewide data base for all public libraries allowing them to offer their patrons interactive online practice tests for schools and career goals.  These tests are available to all patrons at the Crossville Public Library at no charge.  Patrons can choose from more than 300 on-line practice tests based on official exams such as ACT, SAT, GED, SSVAB, firefighter, police officer, paramedic, EMT Basic, U.S. citizenship, postal worker, cosmetology, real estate sales agent and broker exams.  Patrons can log onto a computer in the library, select and take the test and get immediate scoring and detailed explanations of answers.  Test results are stored in personalized individual accounts, accessible only by the patron.  For more information, contact the Crossville Public Library at 528-2628.
Crossville Church of God would like to welcome you to our church.  We have Sunday School at 10.00 am with Worship Service at 11.00 am, Sunday night service at 5.30 pm and Wednesdays services at 7.00 pm. We have classes for all ages.  We are across from the nursing home.
The Crossville Public Library recently received a grant from the Alabama Public Library Service and has purchased many new books which are now on the shelves and waiting to be checked out.  There are books for all ages, plus books on tape.  A special area has been set up in the Library for bilingual (Spanish/English) books.  Come in and check us out!!
The Crossville Civitan Club meets in the Activities Room at Crossville Health and Rehab Center.  We are grateful for this opportunity to share the activities room and for the meal that is prepared for us each week (Dutch treat of course).  We encourage all members to come and be in the meetings and help us learn of ways to help make Crossville a better place for us and for the children and youth of the area.  We invite others to come and join this civic club, there is always room for one more. The President is Buster Graves, President-Elect is Nelson Wilkes, secretary is Gail Painter and treasurer is Jane Brooks and they represent Crossville well.
Marvin Methodist Church, a little Rock Church down 68, has a Wednesday afternoon children bible study at 4 pm.   You are invited to bring your children or we will pick them up.   Lots of fun and enough bible study where they will remember what is taught.  Adults are also invited to our regular Sunday Service that begins at 9:45. You will hear a great sermon and enjoy some super fellowship.  Come as you are.
Crossville Public Library has started a Genealogy and Historical Department.  If you would like to have your family history included please contact the Crossville Library at 256-528-2628.
Crossville School PTO is now collecting Campbell's Soup labels and Box Tops for education to raise money for school projects and equipment.  Please send your labels with any school children, drop in the drop box, or mail them to Crossville Elementary School, 5405 County Rd 28, Crossville, Alabama 35962.  Thank you for your Support!
Crossville Public Library is now open Tuesday through Friday, noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Go by and sign up for an Alabama Virtual Library Card which provides FREE Internet access to encyclopedias, reference materials and other information.  Many good reference materials are also available at the Crossville Public Library to help with homework assignments.
Remember Crossville Library's "Kans for Kids" program.  Please bring your aluminum cans to the Big Yellow storage trailer next to the Crossville Water Board.  All proceeds will be used to purchase new books and other materials for the Library.
